MEET ATHENA!
Athena loves good hugs and knows all her obedience commands, walks well on leash, and is crate trained. She knows lots of extra commands, such as “leave it”, “wait”, “ok”, “no barking’', and will go to her designated spot when told to go to “place”. She loves to be groomed and is house broken. She rides well in the car and loves to go out and about. She is fond of children but is still hesitant meeting new people. She’s currently in agility training to bolster her confidence and is getting regular exposure to new people and places. Athena loves to play fetch and will ask nicely by placing an item in your lap to throw.
Athena is still working through some trauma, so patience is required with her. She loves getting rubs and scritches. She can run faster than any dog at the dog park and loves to jump into the air and pounce on a toy. She has a keen sense of humor and will show that when she gets to know you better. She is also very good at reading your mood and will mimic it.
She can be a little rough with small dogs, as she is working on improving her socially appropriate canine to canine skills. She hasn’t been exposed to cats, she would probably enjoy a good chase. She will need a home with plenty of yard space to get her exercise, and appropriate fencing, since she loves to jump and is very good at it.
Athena has valley fever and is currently on fluconazole to treat it, she is almost done with her course the medication. She’s very healthy and experiencing no signs or symptoms at this time.
