Ariel is a young, sweet petite young Malinois with lot of love and companionship to give to her lucky adopter. Friendly with people, including small children, and dogs, she has all the traits of a wonderful family dog or adventure companion.Ariel had a very tough start in life though. She was tied up with a rope around her neck and left outside, underfed, with an injured leg. Ariel managed to escape by chewing on the rope and showed up at the house of a neighbor, who took her in and cared for her. Ariel also suffered an injury in the past that caused a slight bend to her snout. The vet literally cried whe she examined ittle Ariel, stating the she likely suffered from a hard kick to her snout as a very young puppy. The great news is that her upper and lower jaws are in perfect alignment - she just has a slight, unique look to her if one looks closely. Ariel is healed and healthy now, showing no signs of trauma from her experiences other than a need for a little confidence building and a loving home.Ariel has good energy but inside has a great off switch. she is a perfect first time Malinois for an adopter that has solid dog experience and likes to get out and do things like hike, go on long walks or on other adventures. She loves to play tug , fetch and chew on her toys. She is great in her crate and not destructive in the house. And she is good with cats! She has already learned some basic obedience and is a good on a leash as well. She loves playing with her foster sister, and shows no signs of resource guarding. A very loving girl, Ariel can be found hanging out with her person most of the time, or enjoying the sights from the back porch. Ariel has so much love and companionship to offer - she is truly an awesome dog!To apply to adopt, please fill out the application by clicking on the Adopt button or ask for her to be added to your existing application.***********************************************We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location.
