Archie was surrendered by his former owner due to his high level of anxiety and resource guarding.  He is currently taking anti-anxiety medication.  These behavioral issues are able to be desensitized with Archie being placed in the right home with a new family who is willing to work with him.  CODAR will include free in home training with our recommended trainer who has vast knowledge of dog language and how to show positive reinforcement while setting boundaries in the home.  He was purchased from a pet store and lived in an adult only home until he was surrendered.  He is approximately 2 years old. 

We are unsure if this was a learned behavior or if he was not corrected when it first began.  Archie is super friendly when meeting new people and loves to be petted.  He gets along well with the other dogs staying at our facility.  He walks well on a leash and knows basic commands.  He is up to date on all shots, is neutered and microchipped.  Archie requires an experienced dog owner willing to work with him.  Due to his current issues, we recommend a home without children or visiting grandchildren.
