Meet Angel, the senior husky mix (emphasis on the mix). Angel doesn’t appear to be a senior in her energy but she truly is 8 years old. She still loves to play with toys and engage in play with other dogs. She has history of living with felines previously in a home and coexisted nicely with them in a foster home. Angel would be best in a home as the only dog as she is not super fond of sharing her favorite things (such as food and toys) with other canines but may enjoy some playdates and walkies with dog friends. Angel may take a bit to warm up to new people but is a sweetie, gentle soul once she befriends a person. This dog’s adoption fee is reduced to $70 from May 1st to May 15th as part of “Empty the Shelters”, an adoption event hosted by the Bissell Pet Foundation to help pets across the nation find the loving adoptive homes they deserve.Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
