Akasha (A137598) is an 8-month-old lab mix who weighed over 60 lbs at intake!04/04/25 Akasha was adopted but returned the next day due to the previous owner feeling as though their apartment was not large enough for her. During her short stay with them, she was said to be an absolute lovebug and especially enjoyed cuddling in their bed! They noted that Akasha did well with the other dog in the home even though the other dog was older and did not exactly match Akasha's bouncy play energy. Akasha would do best in an active home and would enjoy another canine friend to play with! 02/22/25 This bundle of bounce is Akasha! She was brought to the shelter because she was being too rough with the kids in her previous home. Akasha needs some help with her manners. She has been known to jump on people and counters, and she plays really rough. She was said to love every human she meets, regardless of age, but she can unintentionally hurt smaller kids or babies with her rowdiness. It may be best that her next home not havce little ones. Akasha is looking for a patient owner that may want to enroll her in a basic obedience class so she can be the best that can be! Providing her with proper mental and physical enrichment can also help calm her down. Akasha was said to love other dogs. She has never been around cats or other animals. She was said to be kennel trained and housebroken. She can be vocal and has been known to chew. Make sure she has plenty of appropriate chew toys to keep her occupied! If you are interested in meeting this happy happy girl, please give the shelter a call!
