Sweetie's Story
When our family set a live trap to catch our missing resident cat, we never expected to find Sweetie inside. She was tiny, underweight, and suffering from a skin infection. We took her to the vet, where they tried to contact the owner listed on her microchip—but no one ever came. It quickly became clear she had been abandoned and left to fend for herself.
At first, Sweetie was understandably timid and unsure. But with time, space, and gentle care, she began to trust us. She's never caused a single issue and has shown us just how sweet and affectionate she truly is.
She may hide at first, but she always comes out to greet new people—she truly loves human company.
Once she had time to heal, we slowly introduced her to our other animals—but unfortunately, it became clear that Sweetie is not comfortable around other cats or dogs. Despite our best efforts, she remains fearful, often hiding, and the stress has even caused her to develop urinary inflammation. She needs a peaceful home where she can finally feel safe.
Sweetie is the definition of a cuddle bug. The moment we sit down, she’s in our laps, purring and soaking up all the affection. She adores being petted and brushed, and when she’s feeling playful, she’s absolutely adorable chasing her favorite cat toys.
With her long, silky grey and white fur and her gentle, loving personality, Sweetie is truly special. She’s ready to be someone’s one and only—a soft, snuggly companion who just wants to love and be loved. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate cat to share your quiet home, Sweetie is your girl.
