This pretty boy is named SIMON. He arrived at the shelter in mid April 2025 through animal control. He may have had a run in with some asphalt before he got there thanks to some obvious wounds on his face above his right eye. The shelter Director thoroughly cleansed those and SIMON has been healing quite nicely. However, the silly boy now spends a lot of time, rubbing his face against the front of the cat condo and keeps damaging the right hand side of his face. Once they are able to move him from a condo to an open cat room that behavior will stop. But until then… He is a cat and he will do things his way thank you very much!Based on his markings and his blue eyes, he likely is a Snowshoe mix. He is listed as approximately 4 to 5 years of age and weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. at his intake. Best of all, he is already neutered! That means that he can go home the same day that he is adopted. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking an adult size cat carrier with you to the appointment in case you do decide to adopt SIMON or one of the other spayed or neutered cats currently at the shelter. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
