Hi, I’m Nickie, a shy but sweet girl who has spent several years in foster care, waiting for the right person to give me a chance. I’ve been in a multi-cat foster home, which has made it hard for me to feel safe and learn how to trust my surroundings. I’m brave enough to come out for treats when I hear my name, but I quickly scarf them down, always keeping my eyes and ears on high alert. I often have to run off before I can even finish, as the other cats sometimes make me feel scared.

I once had a foster brother who was my friend, but he’s gone to live with an elderly gentleman now. I miss him, but I think I’d really flourish as the only kitty in a calm and peaceful home where I don’t have to worry about other cats. I would love to know what it feels like to truly relax and trust my environment. My foster mom tells me I could be so happy and thrive if I could just learn to trust, and I know the right person could help me do that.

I’m super sweet and I do enjoy playing when I get the chance, though I don’t get to do it as much as I’d like. I know I could be the loving, playful companion you've been looking for if only someone would give me the chance. My foster mom believes in me, and she thinks I could thrive with the right family.
