Dilly is unknown breed despite what is indicated on the face of her profile. She is 7yo, weighs 5lbs, is spayed, is microchipped, but is not up to date on her vaccines. Dilly dislikes/fears loud noises, kids running and jumping, so she will hide. Dilly's guardian adds:
"We contacted BARCS in search of a working barn cat for our farm. They matched us with Dilly and we were told she was an outdoor cat. Truth is, she was living indoors and urinating in her owners home. Her previous owners adopted her when she was a kitten. She was there for 6 years before they surrenders her. Dilly only like being outside if we are with her and she does not leave the immediate area around our home. She is not interested in living outdoors or being a working cat. She is very affectionate and friendly, she is quiet and sweet, she doesn’t mind our children. We brought her in our home around Christmas because I feared it was too cold for her outside and she didn’t like being outdoors. She has been indoors ever since. She has only had one episode urinating in our home, and it was when we had a sitter while on vacation. I think the sitter came too late in the evening to feed her which upset Dilly. We do have stray cats around our property and she does not like them being near. I don’t know that she would do well with other animals. She curently eats Purina Fancy Feast Classic Pate - she is very picky and experienced digestion issues when we first got her. After experimenting with lots of different foods, this one has been great for her. I wouldn't recommend anything else."
Dilly's guardian explains why she has made the decision to rehome her: "We have allergies and cannot give her the attention she craves."
Dilly's guardian offers a brief a medical history: "She had exporatory surgery for her previous urinating issue and nothing was found."
Dilly's guardian states the following regarding children: Since Dilly lives with children, ages 3 & 6, her guardian recommends her living with children.
Dilly's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Dilly doesn't live with a dog, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating...
"She has not been around dogs so I’m not sure - but I do know the previous owners got a dog prior to surrendering her which may be why she had urinating issues. I think she was stressed."
Dilly's guardian states the following regarding cats: Dilly doesn't live with cats, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "She fights with them".
Dilly's guardian describes her as:
Couch potato
Quiet
Friendly
Affectionate
Indoor Only Pet
House-Trained
"She would do great with a family that is home most of the time with older children. Although I think she’d do fine with younger kids too. She likes calm environments and likes to be whenever her people are."
