Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, heartwarming transformations like that of Crusty are made possible every day at Forgotten Cats, Inc.
This sweet soul was first spotted in January at an auto-mechanic shop in Delco, where he was in a heartbreaking state—filthy, emaciated, and gravely ill, with saliva pouring from his infected mouth and scars marring his eyes from a painful eyelid deformity.
It’s difficult to imagine what might have happened to Crusty had he not found his way to our caring hands. With the dedicated veterinary care he received, including a full mouth extraction and correction of his eyelid deformity, Crusty’s health improved dramatically, revealing his true nature as a gentle love bug rather than the feral cat we initially thought he was.
We are overjoyed to share that Crusty, now lovingly renamed Buttercup, has found his forever home! He is now living a life filled with love and comfort alongside his new mom and cat-sister.
This heartwarming story not only brings us joy but also serves as a reminder of the impactful role our community plays in the lives of cats like Buttercup.
Thanks to your generous donations, we surpassed the $7,000 needed to receive the matching funds, enabling us to help more cats like Crusty. The Delco Gives donation portal remains open through May 12 - if you missed the 24-hour campaign, there is still time to give. Thank you so much for your generosity and continued support.
