Looking for a friendly, loving feline companion? Please consider adopting Chloe!
Beautiful 14-year-old Chloe was adopted 18 months ago from Chula Vista Shelter after spending a year there waiting for a home. Unfortunately, the dog in Chloe's home is aggressive towards her, so to keep her safe, Chloe spends her days in the bedrooms separated by a baby gate. Her mom shares:
"We have been trying to get our dog to accept Chloe for 18 months, but she is not getting any better. Chloe is now very scared of our dog. She is affectionate and loving, and I'm sure she is lonely not being able to be with us for most of the day. I'm also worried that our dog will get to her one day, and she will not be able to defend herself. We are very sad to be putting Chloe up for adoption, and we hope she can find a home where she can finally relax, and not have to keep looking over her shoulder worried about our dog."
Chloe is a very sweet and affectionate cat. She is happy being picked up and will roll on her back for a belly rub. She is a little timid at first but comes around quickly. She will do better with older children, as she doesn't like rough play. Chloe likes to walk around and explore when she gets the opportunity, and will sometimes play with toys. She also likes to find a comfy place to take lots of naps!
Chloe has had a complete veterinary check up and she has no medical issues, apart from being overweight. She is litter box trained.
