“My friend and I took in several feral cats a while ago. Most are now socialized and many are bonded pairs/families. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. We are looking for good homes for them.
We are located in Clinton, MD (southern PG County). The best method of reaching us is: zcathouse.md@gmail.com”
Callie (SF, Calico, DSH, ~6+ years?) & Roxy (NM, Brown Tabby + White, DSH, ~6+ years?)
Roxy is rather shy; he was sick and had an injured paw (R?) when we took him and his mother in.
This mother and son just showed up on our doorstep one day. Callie is more trusting than her son but they are both cautious and will tolerate only a limited amount of physical contact. Much like Fluffy and her kittens, it may be that Callie and Roxy would do better in a non-traditional home environment, but it could just as likely be a matter of them needing a less hectic living situation with more freedom to explore that makes them truly comfortable and allows them to properly thrive. They probably won't become lap cats - at least not anytime soon - though we do think they have a lot of companionship to share in their own way.
